Just a quick photo post

Well it will take me a while to get through all of the photos that I took over the 3 day racing carnival but I came across this one when having a quick flick through and I really like it, so thought I’d share!  I know the focus is on the fence, but with that and the position of the car I think it makes a great shot.

For those who don’t follow the V8’s – the car pictured is Jamie Whincup of  Team Vodafone.  He is the current Driver Championship Leader and partners with Craig Lowndes to form Team Vodafone (who are the current Team Championship Leaders).

Did you hear that???  I did!  I’m MIA at the moment as the V8 Supercar series is in town (inaugural race!) and we also have family in town.

V8 racing cars are LOUD!!!!  But it’s something different and I quite enjoy motorsport (yes…I’m a closet rev-head!)

So I’ll be back with photos…soonish!

Lyn’s Chat Challenge

I was chatting with Aussie Fiskars Ambassador Lyn Dwyer the other night in the Fiskateer Chat Room.  During the chat we were talking about our ‘creative comfort zones’ and Lyn mentioned that she had recently got into doodling on her projects, something that I’ve found difficult to just ‘take the plunge’ and do.  As a result of my admission, Lyn challenged me to make a card this week with doodling around the edges – and here is what I came up with – yes I know it’s a fairly simple go at doodling, but it’s a start!

Lots of Cupcakes!

A lot of cupcakes for a very Happy Birthday card!  Kaisercraft cupcake paper and SU Crazy for Cupcaks stamps.

 

Happy Birthday Dragon

A dragon card for something difference!  The dragon image is a freebie digi-stamp from Dustin Pike coloured with pencils & odourless mineral spirits.  I think he’s quite cute!  The cupcake/pie is actually a cupcake cut from Kaisercraft patterned paper and coloured to match the card.

 

Mother’s Day 2009

The visits to the mothers have been done for another year to wish them a Happy Mother’s Day!  With us of course came the cards…and here they are.

I also used one of the ones I made for Sue as a gift wallet for my MIL.

A huge congratulations to two lovely people who were married yesterday.

Gabbie & Glen may you have a long and happy marriage together and may this be the beginning of a wonderful life full of love, happiness and many pleasant memories.
